Two Toba indians were in love.
Since the girl was very beautiful, the other indians were jealous.
One day they chased the boy away to the forest. The girl ran after him
and never returned. The Toba went to the forest to find them, but instead
of the girl, they found a beautiful new tree.
The tree has flowers and thorns.
The flowers symbolize
the love the two Toba shared and the thorns represent the pain they felt
upon being chased from their village.
